Rev. David W. Greene, Sr. is a lifelong servant-leader whose work has always been rooted in faith, compassion, and a deep commitment to people. As Senior Pastor of Purpose of Life Ministries in Indianapolis, Rev. Greene has spent decades walking alongside families, advocating for justice, and building pathways to opportunity for children, seniors, and working families.

Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Greene is a respected community advocate and coalition builder. He serves as President of the Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis and works closely with educators, healthcare leaders, nonprofit organizations, and civic officials to address issues such as public education, mental health, housing stability, and economic fairness. He is also the founder of Purpose of Life Academy, an early-learning center dedicated to providing high-quality, culturally responsive education for young children.

Pastor Greene’s decision to run for Indiana State Senate grows out of the same values that have guided his ministry: listening to people, standing up for what is right, and ensuring that every family, no matter their zip code, has a fair shot at success. He believes leadership should be principled, accessible, and accountable, and that government should work for the people it serves.

In the State Senate, Pastor Greene is focused on putting Affordability First, strengthening public education, protecting our environment, and supporting neighborhoods through practical, people-centered solutions. His campaign is about service, not self, and about building a future where faith, freedom, and opportunity are real for everyone and there is justice for ALL.
