Affordability First

Affordability First means putting everyday people at the center of every decision we make. I’ve spent my life walking alongside families, seniors, workers, and small business owners, and I know firsthand that rising costs are squeezing people from every direction. When it comes to housing, groceries, childcare, utilities, and healthcare, too many Hoosiers are working harder and falling further behind.

Affordability First means leading with common sense and compassion. It means asking, “How does this impact the family trying to stay in their home? The senior on a fixed income? The worker living paycheck to paycheck?” No policy should make life harder for the people who keep our communities strong.

In a Republican-majority Statehouse, progress requires more than strong beliefs; it requires relationships, respect, and results. I believe in building broad coalitions across party lines by focusing on shared values: fiscal responsibility, strong families, local control, and healthy communities. When we start with what we agree on, we can move forward together.

I have a proven record of bringing people to the same table, faith leaders, educators, labor, business owners, advocates, and elected officials from both parties, to solve real problems. Affordability First means listening before legislating, working across differences, and finding practical solutions that put people over politics.

This commitment is about protecting pocketbooks while preserving dignity. It’s about responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, honest conversations about priorities, and leadership that knows how to work the system without being owned by it. When we build coalitions rooted in trust and shared purpose, we can deliver real relief and create a future where every Hoosier has a fair shot not just to survive but to thrive.
